Congressman Bruce Westermann (R-AK), Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Committee, is adding a fresh perspective to the committee. He appointed freshman legislator Blake Moore (R-UT) the new Ranking Member of the Natural Resources’ subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations on February 8.
The Subcommittee has primary and general oversight and investigative authority on all activities, policies and programs within the jurisdiction of the Committee. This includes the Department of Interior, Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Commerce.
“I’m pleased to announce Congressman Blake Moore as the new Ranking Member of the Oversight and Investigations subcommittee,” Westerman said. “Since day one, he has been an active leader on this committee and I know Mr. Moore will continue the great work of the subcommittee in holding the Biden administration accountable to the American people.”
Moore touted the work that Republicans on the Natural Resources Committee have done to increase government accountability for taxpayers while protecting our abundant natural resources.
